Tplink Tapo C200 Security Camera NOW Works like Magic in Apple HomeKit
Well out of the box the TpLink TAPO C200 security camera works well with Google & Amazon. Now with Homebridge – we will make this Smart Home Security Camera work Like Magic in Apple HomeKit as well as enable HomeKit Secure Video.
So let’s talk about this little guy here – The Tplink Tapo C200 camera. This is a great option for those looking for an affordable indoor security camera. Besides the 1080p HD video,
It also comes with night vision, motion detection, and two-way audio. It also brings along the Pan Tilt & Zoom feature also known as PTZ
Now it can be controlled and monitored through the Tplink Tapo app. However If you are like me an Apple HomeKit user, you can integrate this same camera into your smart home system using one of the 2 Homebridge Plugins that I will show you in this video using the Auto Pan & Tilt functionality as well as HomeKit Secure Video.
Anyways The integration process is relatively straightforward, the beauty is that you will then enjoy the added convenience and control of having your Tplink Tapo cameras integrated Right into your Apple HomeKit system.
So, For all of this to work. This is what we will need –
- Tplink Tapo camera. We will be using the C200
- And to enable the integration with Homekit – we will be using Homebridge running on a raspberry Pi plus I also have left links in the description to install homebridge on multiple hardware platforms
